  • Healing (form of molecular manipulation) - Max heals Liz from a bullet wound.[1] Max heals a mouse.[2]
  • Molecular manipulation - Max safely dissolves the bullet in Liz's body to heal her. Max "melts" Liz's bracelet in demonstration.[3]
  • Mental connection - Part of the healing process is a mental connection. When Max heals Liz, he gets a rush of images.[4] Max later creates a psychic connection with Liz, Alex, Maria, Isabel, and Michael to build trust between them.[5]
  • Handprint - As a side effect of healing, a handprint mark appears on Liz's abdomen. One also appears on a man who Max tried to heal at the mall, but the man died. One appears on Alex Manes where he's healed from a knife wound.
