Michael Guerin is a main character in the Roswell High book series. He is a senior in high school,[2] and he's kept his origins as an alien a closely-guarded secret until his best friend Max Evans reveals it by healing Liz Ortecho.

Appearance[]

Michael has jet black spiky hair and gray eyes.[3][4][5] He's physically "pumped" with wide shoulders and six-pack abs.[6]

Michael's aura color is "brick red."[7][8]

Character[]

Michael, Max, Isabel, and Nikolas were in pods when their alien ship crashed in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. A survivor of the crash moved their pods to safety in a cave. The four children remained in stasis for about forty years.[9] Michael woke from his pod second, after Nikolas had already awoken and left. Michael wandered out of the cave and was found by a rancher, and he was placed in an orphanage. He later re-found Max and Isabel in school.

Michael is best friends with Max and Isabel. Their friendship group expands to include the humans Liz Ortecho, Maria DeLuca, and Alex Manes.

Michael initially considers Maria to be a friend or like a sister, but their relationship develops romantically. They start hanging out alone when Michael sneaks out to get away from the Hugheses, and they watch movies together in her bedroom.

Michael has been through several families in the foster system. His first foster parents were the Salingers, who Michael hoped would keep him even though they said it was temporary. He kept ceramic salt-and-pepper shakers shaped like bumblebees as a keepsake from his time with them, but he later throws these away.[10] He is living with the Hugheses at the beginning of the series, and he does not get along with Mr. Hughes who constantly pulls power trips on Michael, such as coming up with last minute chores that must be done just before Michael goes out with his friends. He then goes to the Pascals, who foster several other children: Dylan, Amanda, and the baby Sarah. Michael helps with babysitting when the Pascals go out.
