Isabel Evans is a main character in the Roswell High book series. She is a junior in high school,[1] and she's kept her origins as an alien a closely-guarded secret until her brother Max Evans uses his powers to heal Liz Ortecho.

Appearance[]

Isabel has long blonde hair and blue eyes.[2] Her body is "curvy."[3][4] She is widely considered to be attractive.

Isobel's aura color is a deep, rich purple.[5][6][7]

Character[]

Isabel, Max, Michael, and Nikolas were in pods when their alien ship crashed in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. A survivor of the crash moved their pods to safety in a cave. The four children remained in stasis for about forty years. Isabel and her twin brother Max emerged from their shared pod at the apparent age of seven. Nikolas and Michael had already separately awoken and wandered off alone. Isabel and Max wandered from their cave and were found by Mr. and Mrs. Evans, who adopted them.

Isabel and Max are friends with Michael, and their friendship group expands to include the humans Liz Ortecho, Maria DeLuca, and Alex Manes.

Isabel is a cheerleader and one of the high school "royalty," the cool/popular crowd.[8] Her rival is head cheerleader Stacey Scheinin. Fellow cheerleader Tish Okabe is one of Isabel's friends.

Isabel develops a romantic relationship with Alex Manes. After an initial attraction, Isabel gets involved in an unhealthy relationship with Nikolas Branson, who is murdered by Sheriff Valenti. Alex helps Isabel recover from the loss and trauma of seeing Nikolas killed, and they later rekindle their romance.

When Isabel is upset or stressed, she obsessively cleans and organizes.

Powers[]

Being an alien, Isabel potentially has use of all the various powers that aliens possess. Before the start of the series, Isabel uses her powers more freely than Max or Michael, mostly to dream walk.

Dream walking: Isabel can enter others' dreams and manipulate them. She notably uses this to try to win votes for homecoming queen.[9]

Sense power use: Isabel can sense when another alien uses their powers. Her sense seems to be less powerful than Max or Michael's sense, since she doesn't initially recognize when Nikolas uses his powers around her, but Max and Michael do.[10]
