Forrest is a character in The CW 2019 television series Roswell, New Mexico. He is a historian studying World War II and he lives at the Long Farm. Forrest is portrayed by Christian Antidormi.

Appearance[]

Forrest is white with a questionable blue dye job in season 2 and his presumably natural brown hair in season 3. He stands at about 5'6" (about 167 cm). He tends to wear black jeans and t shirts with solid colors or simple patterns with a black leather jacket or black sweater on top. He wears several rings, one of which bears the Deep Sky logo, that he can be seen fidgeting with occasionally. He carries an interestingly patterned gray messenger bag.

Personality[]

Forrest is a history buff. His specific area of interest seems to be World War II, especially Nazi presence in the town of Roswell. His other interests include slam poetry. 

He was romantically involved with Alex Manes.

History[]

Forrest is cousins with Wyatt  and Kate Long ,and he grew up visiting his cousins in Roswell every summer. Because he wasn't interested in shooting squirrels like Wyatt, he and Kate would go exploring. This led them to discover old shell casings that were left behind when the Air Force came to capture Nora Truman and Louise

At some point, Forrest joined the military. He presumably keeps in touch with members of his old platoon. 

Forrest works as an archivist for Deep Sky. He has level A clearance.

Plot[]

When Michael Guerin and Alex Manes go to the Long Farm looking for information about Michael's mother, Forrest is there and he recognizes Michael as "alien guy" from the library, and Michael refers to him as "Nazi guy" because of his research into World War II. Forrest believes the two women, Nora Truman and Louise, who were hidden on the Long Farm in 1947 were Nazi spies. He shares his research with Michael and Alex, giving Michael some of the information he was looking for about his mother.[1]

Forrest attends the Mexican Market at the Wild Pony where he and his dog Buffy run into Alex and Maria DeLuca. He's helping Maria plan an open mic night, and Forrest invites Alex to come, telling him he'll buy him a drink. Alex attends the event the next day and watches Forrest perform a piece of poetry.[2]

Alex and Forrest later go on a date at the Alien Gulch Paintball Park. Forrest hits Alex in his good leg, causing Alex to fall, and Alex reveals that he's wearing a prosthetic. Forrest says that heroes are sexy and leans in to kiss him, but Alex pulls away. Their date is interrupted by a call from Roswell Community Medical. Alex and Forrest later meet up at the Wild Pony, and they talk about Alex being self-conscious about being seen with a guy in public. Forrest says he doesn't want to be in someone else's closet, but invites Alex to call him when he's ready.[3]

Forrest is at the Crashdown Cafe when Alex, Michael, and Isobel are picking up their food. He shows Alex the notebook where he writes his angsty emo poetry and offers to help Alex with his song lyrics. He asks if Isobel is Michael's girlfriend, eliciting disgust from both parties.

Forrest is the MC at the Wild Pony Open Mic Night who introduces Alex's performance of Would You Come Home. After the song is over, Forrest approaches Alex and remarks that the person the song was written for must be very lucky. After Alex assures him that that relationship was a long time ago, they kiss.

After Alex returns from cleaning up Jesse Manes's legacy, Forrest greets him at the bus stop with a kiss and tells him that he has something important to tell him. Later, Forrest reveals that he is an archivist for Deep Sky, an organization that is now looking to recruit Alex. Forrest asks Alex to accompany him on his book tour, which Alex declines.

Powers and abilities[]

Abilities 

  • Writing - Forrest is writing a book about World War II. He also writes poetry in his spare time.
  • Accents/Impressions - He demonstrates a pretty spot-on Southern accent while quoting his great grandfather to Alex and Michael in 2.04. Unfortunately, out of the three of them, only Forrest finds the accent funny.

Trivia[]

  • It is suggested by Michael and not refuted by Forrest that Forrest works on the Long farm, but Forrest's bright white sneakers suggest otherwise
  • In 1.09, Alex remarks that "angsty nerd isn't really my type, even if he is tall." Despite this statement, in season 2 he develops feelings for Forrest, a five and a half foot tall history buff who wears all black and keeps a poetry journal. The most logical explanation for this contradiction is that Alex's original statement was only meant to apply to Max Evans whom he doesn't have romantic feelings for.
  • In 3.01 "Hands" Forrest reveals to Alex Manes that he is a member of Deep Sky and that they will try and recruit him.
