Jason Behr is an American film and television actor who portrays Max Evans on the WB's sci-fi 1999 series Roswell. For this role, he was twice nominated for a Saturn Award.

Behr also portrayed Tripp in the second season of the CW's 2019 television series Roswell, New Mexico.[1]

Biography[]

His ancestry includes Swiss-German, German, Austrian, Irish, English, and Danish. Jason began acting at the age of five, appearing in a number of theatrical productions, commercials, voice overs and modeling. Jason continued to perform throughout his school years. At the age of nineteen, following his graduation from Richfield Senior High School, Jason moved out to Los Angeles. Shortly after his arrival, Jason began a series of guest roles on popular television shows such as Step by Step (1991), JAG (1995), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1996), 7th Heaven (1996) and Dawson's Creek (1998).

Trivia[]

  • Behr previously dated his Roswell co-star Katherine Heigl during filming, and rumors spread that they were engaged, but their relationship ended around 2001 or 2002.[2][3][4]
  • On May 12, 2020 Carina Adly MacKenzie revealed in a tweet that in a conversation she had with him, on wanting things to go back to normal after the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, without skipping one beat, he used one of Max's original lines from Roswell replying, What's so great about normal?.[5]
  • On March 18, 2021 it was reported that Behr would appear in the final season of the CW series Supergirl in the role of a famous or notable Kryptonian who plays a significant role helping Kara when she faces circumstances beyond her control. [6]
    • In the episode A Few Good Women it was revealed he's the recasted Zor-El (Supergirl's father).
