Chaves County Sheriff's Department is the main police department in the CW science fiction TV series Roswell, New Mexico.
History
In 1997, the Sheriff's Department put out a notice in the paper with pictures of Max, Isobel, and Michael, asking if anyone had information on the children.[1]
Jim Valenti was formerly the sheriff until his death. In 2008, Master Sergeant Jesse Manes ran a candidate against Jim, and Jim almost lost the election that year. After his death, his widow became the new sheriff.
